WELCOME TO SHOREWOOD INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL!
At Shorewood Intermediate School, we work together to create a positive and equitable learning community in which everyone grows, is empowered to become civically engaged, and reach their full potential. We support students as they transition from elementary to high school by focusing on the development of each individual. We create community through the connections we build with each other by providing authentic and inclusive learning experiences for our students.

Our community is built based on the following beliefs:

  • Every member of our community needs to feel safe, welcome, and supported in order to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • We value the diverse experiences, backgrounds, and beliefs of our community and include multiple perspectives, identities, and voices in our curriculum.
  • We create a socially just community by explicitly implementing anti-racist practices that identify and eliminate inequities.

All of our schools in the District offer a Multilingual Learner (ML) program for students in need of ML services, as well as staff specialists in Special Education, so that all of our students can succeed.
