Stairway to Heroin

Children increasingly are coming into contact with illegal drugs. Parents are still the most powerful influence in their children lives. Children who learn about the risks of drugs and alcohol from their parents are 50% less likely to use than those who don’t. Please join us to learn how you can be part of the solution to this ever-growing concern in our community. Education of students, educators, parents and the community is essential.

Boutique Blowout

Returning for its 9th year is the bargain hunter’s paradise known as Boutique Blowout. Many of the Milwaukee’s chicest boutiques will be on hand selling clothing, accessories and homegoods at deeply discounted prices. The $5 admission fee is donated to the Shorewood Recreation Department’s “Round Up for Recreation” program, which provides financial assistance to anyone unable to afford the department’s activity fees.

The Shorewood Chill - New

Brought to you by the Lake Bluff Ice Captains, Shorewood Recreation Department, Village of Shorewood, and Shorewood BID. Join us for an afternoon of winter fun! We will have activities for the whole family to participate in!

Shorewood First Ride & Bike Rodeo

This year, we are offering two bike events on the same afternoon! Join us for a fun day of bicycle education! Brought to you by the Shorewood Recreation Department, Rainbow Jersey Bicycles, North Shore Health Department, North Shore Fire Rescue, and the Shorewood Police Department. We will also have helmet fittings. The event is free for Shorewood Residents, but pre-registration is required.

Location: Atwater Elementary School West Playground

First Ride: Ages 3 & up. Children will learn bike safety with the proven ‘balancing first’ method.

Fee: Residents FREE / Non Residents $5

Bike Rodeo: Grades 2 - 6. This clinic will educate parents and children on bike safety, traffic rules, and more!
