Welcome to Atwater Elementary School! At Atwater, our highly qualified teachers and paraprofessionals prepare students to meet the challenges of tomorrow by providing an educational responsive to each child's talent and abilities in a nurturing environment. Our innovative and energetic teachers and staff assist our students in developing the skills they will need to be life long learners. Atwater is fortunate to have an active parent organization that supports our school community through direct classroom volunteering, parent and student social activities, artists-in-residence programs, parent forums and so much more. Atwater also offers an English Language Learner (ELL) program for students in need of ELL services.

Kindergarten Registration:

Jr. Kindergarten and New Sr. Registration will start February 17th. We will be in the office to accept paper work from 5:30-7:30pm. Please bring a certified copy of your student's Birth Certificate and proof of residency. This is not an open house, but some teachers will be here to answer questions. All registrations should be in by March 24th.

After careful review of proposals, the Shorewood School District has selected Munson Inc. to complete the construction of the tennis courts and Kapur and Associated to create the design for the project. For more information, click the above title.

On Tuesday, May 17, from 6-7 pm, the Shorewood Student Support team will bring in Dr. Sarah Axtell as the guest speaker for a workshop entitled "Healing with Food: Addressing the Root Cause of Common Childhood Illnesses." April 10-16, 2016 is National Library Week. The Shorewood Public Library will be celebrating in style with events for all ages, from pop-up libraries to library trivia to the grand finale – a super special Saturday.
