Welcome to Lake Bluff Elementary School!

At Lake Bluff, we prepare students to meet the challenges of tomorrow by providing an education responsive to each child's talent and abilities in a nurturing environment. Our school community values character education as well as academic growth. Our approach focuses on the whole child. Our innovative and energetic teachers and staff assist our students in developing the skills they will need to be life long learners. Lake Bluff is fortunate to have an active parent organization that supports our school community through direct classroom volunteering, parent & student social activities, artists-in-residence programs, parent forums and so much more.

Did you know that Lake Bluff was named a State School of Character in 2012 by WCEP and a National School of Character by the National CEP at a National convention in Washington DC? Lake Bluff was the only school in the state of Wisconsin to receive this recognition in 2012 and one of about 25 in the entire nation. 2016-17 District Calendar

Current News

Lake Bluff PTO will host a family potluck for families new to the school on Monday, August 28th from 5-7 p.m. at the Lake Bluff Little Playground.
The District has announced that work will begin on the installation of new tennis courts at Lake Bluff Elementary School on June 16, 2017. The project received a green light on May 25, when the Shorewood School Board approved up to $20,000 in additional funding to meet the total costs needed to complete the project.
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee (PBSC) worked with Village staff in painting approximately 20 "Walk Your Bike" signs around the Village. The sign is intended to encourage bicyclists who want to stay on the sidewalk in busier parts of the community to walk their bike while passing through. Read more by clicking above title.
On May 16, the Shorewood School District hosted the first annual Authentic Learning Showcase in the Shorewood High School Arena. Over 500 attendees packed the venue to see authentic learning projects from all grade levels, K-12. Click the above title to learn more.
On Saturday, May 13th, from 9:30-11:30 am at Plymouth Church, Dr. Erin Winkler and Ex Fabula have teamed up to host an interactive presentation called "Talking to Kids About Race." The event is free and open to all. For more info, click the above title.
