Welcome To Shorewood High School!  Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes.  Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.

Current News


To facilitate future planning involving the teaching and learning of mathematics for students in the Shorewood School District, the period of time from September 2014 to March 2015 will be used to study and learn about the current status of the district's mathematics programs. Atwater 5th grade teacher John Stanco has implemented a personalized learning math pilot, better known to students and parents as LAUNCH (Learning, Applying, and Understanding Numbers Creates Horizons).
