Welcome To Shorewood High School! Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes. Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee (PBSC) worked with Village staff in painting approximately 20 "Walk Your Bike" signs around the Village. The sign is intended to encourage bicyclists who want to stay on the sidewalk in busier parts of the community to walk their bike while passing through. Read more by clicking above title.
On May 8, SHS Junior Katie Eder was named one of America's top 10 youth volunteers of 2017 today by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards during the program's 22nd annual national award ceremony at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. Learn more by clicking the above title.
