Welcome To Shorewood High School! Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes. Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.

On Saturday, March 18, nearly 350 Shorewood Intermediate and Shorewood High School students performed at the WSMA District Solo and Ensemble Festival at Hamilton Sussex High School. To learn more, click the above title.
Dr. Michael Mazius is coming to the Shorewood Public Library on April 26 at 6pm to discuss the ways in which parents exert influence over their kids' thinking style and the impact this has on their academic outcomes, problem solving in general and overall mental health. Thursday, March 23, from 4:30-6pm, Dr. Sebastian Ssempijja will lead a challenging conversation at Atwater around topics such as: current immigrant/refugee concerns, supporting all community members, etc. The discussion is open to anyone. Click the above title for more info.
On Saturday, April 15, SHS Student Council will be hosting its 2nd Annual Hoops for Harris 3v3 Tournament in the Shorewood High School Arena and North Gym. This tournament is for students Grades 3-12. To learn more, click the above title.
The District will honor five graduates next month for their achievements and service to their communities at the Shorewood Tradition of Excellence Awards Day. The honorees are Shorewood alumni: Lori Holton (Class of 1987), Nick Kalt (Class of 1996), Howard Kissel (Class of 1960), and Tom and Sue Rebholz (Class of 1958).
