Welcome To Shorewood High School!  Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes.  Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.

‚ÄčOn October 28th, 29th, and 30th all SIS and SHS students will be taking the Gallup Student Poll to measure student hope, engagement and well-being. Click the above title for more information.
The North Shore Health Department has a limited number of flu vaccinations available for students aged 18 years and younger. It will be available on a first come, first served basis to Shorewood students and will be given on October 28th at the North Shore Health Department Shorewood office (2010 E. Shorewood Blvd) between 3:15 and 4:30 p.m. Click the above title for more info.
Sat. Nov. 8 is the 7th Annual Fall "Shorewood Connects" Yard Clean-Up Day, linking neighborhood volunteers with older and disabled adults who need help getting their yards ready for Fall. Volunteers are still needed between 9:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. to clean out garden beds, pick up lawn debris and rake leaves at the homes of older and disabled adults for whom these tasks would prove difficult. On October 22, our community will welcome nationally renowned speaker Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg M.D., M.S. Ed. to Milwaukee to give a presentation entitled "Fostering Resilience: Building Resilience in Children and Teens." Dr. Ginsburg will give the presentation three different times: once to SHS students, once to school staff and teachers, and once to the general public.
