Welcome To Shorewood High School! Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes. Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.
After nearly two years of research, planning, and community engagement, the Shorewood Board of Education was presented with the Master Facilities Plan at the November 28th meeting. The entire Master Plan can be viewed on the District website under the Facilities Planning tab titled Master Facilities Plan.
The Shorewood School District is looking for volunteers to be part of a workgroup that will participate in an in-depth review of the Shorewood School District's current Code of Conduct for students. The goal of this workgroup is to provide recommendations for improvements to our Code of Conduct.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) recently released District and School Report Cards for public viewing. As the Report Card Scores indicate below, the Shorewood School District continues to "Exceed Expectations" or "Significantly Exceed Expectations."
The Grafton High School Student Wellness Committee is hosting a presentation about teenagers' use of technology on Monday evening, Nov. 27, 6:30 p.m. in the GHS Auditorium. The presentation is open to all in the Milwaukee community, but most suitable for grades 6-12 and adults. Read more by clicking above title.
