Shorewood Neighbor of the Year Competition

Shorewood Connects is seeking applications for the third annual “Shorewood Neighbor of the Year” competition, developed to recognize a resident who goes out of her/his way to demonstrate neighborliness. Applications will be reviewed by an evaluation panel, and the winning neighbor will be featured in Shorewood Today in addition to having an opportunity to march or ride in the Village’s annual 4th of July parade and receiving a plaque at the Atwater evening 4th of July celebration.

Applications will be judged based upon the extent to which a nominee has been kind, friendly and helpful to others in their neighborhood, e.g., someone who occasionally helps with outdoor tasks, watches a house for someone on vacation, offers rides to the grocery store, checks on older neighbors, etc.

Applications can be completed online and emailed to [email protected] or can be printed and returned to Shorewood Connects, c/o Shorewood Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Avenue, Shorewood WI 53211. Applications will be accepted through Monday, May 6, 2019 with the winner announced by May 15th.
