Recent Accomplishments:
Congratulations to the girls cross country team on being the overall champions of the Maroon Division of the Roy Griak Invitational. The girls finished first in a field of 64 teams from seven states. Bella Lozier finished 4th overall and Annika Elliott finished 13th overall out of 640 runners. View their video interview with MileSplit. Also, a shout out to the JV team on their 5th-place finish at the Tom Watson Invite.
Congratulations to the Messwood football team on their first win of the season. The Homecoming win came on Monday night after the game was delayed on Friday due to weather. The boys faced the rain on Friday and the heat on Monday but came away with an exciting 40-37 victory over Greenfield with a game clinching interception.
Congratulations to the boys volleyball team on their 3rd-place finish at the Shorewood Invite over the weekend. The boys are currently on a six-match dual winning streak.
Congratulations to the girls swim team on their 3rd-place finish at the Woodland Conference Relay Meet! First-place finishes included:
-200-Yard Medley - Elise Jacobs, Eva McNally, Olivia Johnson, Amalia Arndt
-400-Yard Medley - Elise Jacobs, Amie Barrow, Olivia Johnson, Amelia Kuennen
-300-Yard Breaststroke - Amalia Arndt, Eva McNally, Elise Jacobs, Amie Barrow
The girls also had top three finishes in the 200-Yard Freestyle, 400-Yard Medley, 300-Yard Butterfly and 400-Yard Freestyle.
Congratulations to the Shorewood Mountain Biking Team. The team completed the third race of the season in a “mudfest” at Nordic Mountain on Sept 29. The Hounds took 3rd in Division 1, with 25 male and female racers competing at all levels (grades 6 through varsity). Top scorers were: Zoe Neudorfer (8th JV3 Girls), Isak Keyes (11th Varsity Boys), Mark Ruzicka (6th JV3 Boys), Nick Bucciarelli (7th JV3 Boys), Devin Powers (14th JV3 Boys), Kyle Griswold (2nd JV2 Boys) and Elias Saigh (2nd Fresh Boys).
