District Hosts Fourth Community-Wide Strategic Plan Framework Meeting

On Wednesday January 8th, the District hosted the fourth of six sessions to begin building an equitable District Strategic Plan Framework for 2020-2025. The focus of this particular session was on the power of "love in action" as we engage in working to achieve equity as a community. There were approximately 70 participants in attendance.

The District is especially grateful to Dr. Monique Liston from Ubuntu Research and Evaluation for her powerful facilitation and to our community members for attending and making an ongoing commitment to support our equity work.

“This work is certainly radical and transformational. These are important times in our community and our district as we agree to taking the journey through this process together,” says Director for Equity Sam Coleman.

The next session will be on Wednesday, February 5th, from 6-8pm in the lower level of the Village Center. We invite community members, students, staff, and families who have attended at least two of the first three sessions to continue to join us in this work.
