Important Updates Regarding District Food Service

Dear Shorewood Families,

Thank you again for all of your patience and understanding as we respond to this ever changing situation and work to support our students, families, and staff throughout the closure.

It is a very difficult time for all of us but one crucial way the District is trying to alleviate stress on all families is through offering additional food provisions. We want to provide a convenient, safe way for our families to pick up extra food for their children, with minimal human interaction.

Thanks to our food service vendor, Aramark, we are equipped to offer brown bags filled with both breakfast and lunch foods for the day, every weekday between 9am*-12pm outside the Shorewood High School Arena Lobby, for all people 18 years old and younger (residents and non-residents, regardless of income level). This service will be offered for the entire duration of the closures, including during Spring Break next week.

Upon arrival in the SHS parking lot, families can drive up to the Arena doors--which are located in the furthest southwest corner of the SHS parking lot and marked with signage saying “SHS Arena”- -and an Aramark employee will bring the food out to your car*.

*Note two changes: The start time for pick-ups has changed slightly, and will begin at 9am moving forward. Also, per DPI, students no longer need to be present at the time of pick-up for families to receive the food.

We encourage all Shorewood families and community members with children to take full advantage of this offering and collect the food available to you. Even if you are set with meals, this food can serve as additional snacks for your children.

With any questions regarding the above, feel free to contact our Aramark Food Service Director, Beth Klebbe.

And as always, for more information and the latest updates on COVID-19, you can visit our COVID-19 webpage.

Thank you for continuing to work with us in our community’s collective response to COVID-19.

Be Well,

Dr. Bryan Davis
Superintendent, Shorewood School District
