The annual Shorewood Connects Spring Yard Clean Up will still take place and there will be a new format to keep everyone safe while still helping older and disabled neighbors ready their yards for spring.
Volunteers will work as individuals or in small groups of family members, roommates, or co-workers who are already in close contact with each other. It’s a two-hour yard cleanup blitz where you will join your neighbors (from a safe distance) helping homeowners across the village rake leaves and yard debris and clear out garden beds.
Please sign up to help! Let the organizers know how many people are volunteering as part of your group and if you have a preference of the first shift (9 - 11 am) or the second shift (11 am - 1 pm). You will be assigned to a house and a shift, sent detailed directions for May 2nd, and then you are asked to bring your own rakes. If possible, please sign up by April 26th so there is adequate time to assign everyone and send out the instructions. There will be no breakfast gathering so BYOD - Bring Your Own Donuts.
