Free Food Service for the 2021-22 School Year

Dear Shorewood Families,

The District’s Food Service program, Aramark, is pleased to announce that school breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the entire 2021-22 school year, regardless of eligibility. (Please note that eligible families are still encouraged to apply for free/reduced lunch, as it can impact school fees.)

The District will also continue to provide free meal pick-ups throughout the year for interested students and families, one day per week moving forward. There will be no meal pick-ups for the rest of this week, but the below meal pick-up schedule will begin next week.

Days: Wednesdays (that school is in session)
Times: 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Location: Shorewood Intermediate School Front Circle Drive (3830 N Morris Blvd)
Duration: Wednesday, September 8 - Wednesday, June 8.

Families are able to stop by every Wednesday when the District offices are open between 7:30 – 9 a.m. to pick up free breakfast and lunch multi-day packs. If the District offices are closed on a particular day, such as Wednesday, November 24, in observance of Thanksgiving, there will be no food service that day.

Any children ages 18-under are eligible to receive free school meals and the students don’t have to be present for families to pick up the meals.

Should your family have extenuating circumstances and need to pick up meals at a different time than those listed above, please contact our Aramark Food Service Director at [email protected] or 331-210-8989.

Sincerely,

Beth Klebbe, Aramark Food Service Director
JoAnn Sternke, Shorewood Schools Interim Superintendent
