District COVID-19 Testing: New Location Starting April 1st

Dear Shorewood Families,

With community programming starting to ramp up again at the Shorewood Village Center, the District will need to relocate its daily COVID-19 testing services for Shorewood Schools families.  I would like to extend a big thank you to Rachel Collins (Village Library Director) and Elizabeth Price (Senior Resource Center Coordinator) for their incredible partnership with the District and with Summit Clinical Labs throughout this school year!

Beginning Friday, April 1st, the new location for COVID-19 testing will be the Shorewood High School Arena Lobby.  The Arena Lobby is located at the southwest corner of the Shorewood High School parking lot.  The doors are clearly marked with the word “ARENA”.  Please come in through those doors and straight up the stairs into the lobby to receive the testing.

The testing times and location will remain the same for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year:

Daily, Monday-Friday

7:30-9:30am

3:30-5:30pm

Please be advised that the Shorewood High School parking lot can be very busy from 7:30-8:00am since the school day begins at 8:00am.  If you are able, consider parking on the surrounding streets and walking to the Arena Lobby during this time.

Remember to pre-register before arriving. Pre-registration can be completed at: register.covidconnect.wi.gov

Additional testing and quarantine reminders:

  • Summit Labs will continue to have both Rapid Antigen AND PCR testing available for you to choose from.
  • We are now operating under the most recent CDC guidelines for quarantine and isolation, which is a 5 day quarantine followed by 5 days of strict masking around other people.  If you are eligible for a booster, please get it as soon as possible.  Per the CDC, a person who is eligible for a booster and hasn’t received the third dose booster (ages 12 and above), the person is considered undervaccinated and will have to follow the unvaccinated protocol for quarantine.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms and waiting on test results, please stay home!
  • If you are reporting COVID test results, please email: [email protected] and your school’s health aide.
  • If you are reporting *POSITIVE* test results, please include the symptom onset date in your email to [email protected].

Thanks and take care,

Tim Kenney
