Community members, families, students, and alumni are invited to the Shorewood School District Facilities Open House on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 4-6 pm. The Open House will showcase ongoing renovations and new construction at Atwater Elementary, Lake Bluff Elementary, and Shorewood High School.
Student and staff-led tours will highlight the student learning spaces, showcase ADA enhancements and improvements, identify significant historic preservation work, and offer examples of 21st century learning and teaching. The District’s referendum partners—Miron Construction, Eppstein Uhen Architects, and Huffman Development—will also have representatives at each site to share details about signature projects and answer questions.
“Not only is it a great opportunity to see the updates, but it's also a chance to reconnect after two years of construction and COVID limitations,” says Interim Superintendent JoAnn Sternke.
RSVPs are not required, and attendees may drop-in at their leisure. The District's COVID-19 protocols will be posted at the event.
