Shorewood Public Library Examines Macronutrients and Nutrition

Cassie Hoelzl, a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer, will delve into the complexities of food and nutrition in a workshop titled “Balance Your Plate.” It will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18th in Shorewood Public Library program room, 3920 North Murray Avenue.

Macronutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, and fats are key to a balanced diet and proper nutrition. They help regulate metabolism, build and repair tissue, and give your body the energy it needs to function throughout the day. In this workshop, Hoelzl will help you gain a basic understanding of macronutrients, and how they contribute to weight gain/loss, energy levels, and overall healthy lifestyles. Hoelzl will also illustrate ways to build a balanced, realistic approach to daily nutrition. This workshop is appropriate for those with a general interest in food and nutrition to those with more complex dietary needs. Questions will be taken throughout the presentation.

Hoelzl has over ten years of experience in physical therapy combined with three years of personal training and nutrition coaching. She is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and is the owner of Thrive Fitness, LLC in Shorewood, Wisconsin.

This event is free and open to the public. More information is available at shorewoodlibrary.org.
