The Shorewood SEED Foundation is pleased to announce the nomination period is open for the Shorewood Excellence in Teaching Award through Friday, February 24. A private donor has designated funds to be used solely for this purpose.
Annual award(s) will recognize teachers who demonstrate a deep commitment to academic and artistic achievement, model professional and innovative teaching practices, and inspire students, colleagues, and the community through their dedication and leadership.
Eligible teachers* can be nominated by their peers, students, community members or district parents, and will be invited to participate in an application and review process. Parents, please encourage your children to nominate their talented teacher(s).

An independent volunteer committee will select the Shorewood Excellence in Teaching Award recipients, who will receive a monetary award made possible by a donor directed gift. The selection committee is comprised of highly accomplished professionals in education and leaders in the community.
The Shorewood School District is honored by the opportunity this generous gift creates to work with the community to recognize and encourage professional achievement in our schools, and to establish the Awards as an important annual celebration of our commitment to excellence in education.

*Please note: Eligible teachers include certified teachers currently employed full time by the Shorewood School District with 3 or more years of experience in the district, who are nominated by one or more students, parents, teachers, or other members of the Shorewood community.
