Atwater Principal Selection Update

The Shorewood School District is currently conducting a search for the next Atwater Elementary School Principal after the retirement of current Principal Kayla Russick on June 30, 2019.  We had a successful initial interview process that included staff and administrators on Thursday, Feb. 14th.  Our initial interviews resulted in three of the eight candidates being named as finalists for our open principal position at Atwater.  The three finalists are Bridget Mowbray, Ebony Grice and Deanna Wellens.  Their resumes are linked to their names.  All three finalists will be coming back for a second round of interviews after school on Thursday, February 28th.  Each candidate will do a presentation to a staff group and a parent/community group that will follow the outline below:

2 - 3 Min. - Introduction of Self - Who are you? What qualities do you bring to the job that make you a good fit for Atwater Elementary and the Shorewood School District?

3 - 4 Min. - Tell us about a student or group of students who provide you with the motivation to serve as an educator. Describe why?

3 - 4 Min. - Describe how your professional experiences would provide value to Atwater Elementary.

2 - 3 Min. - Outline your 90 day entry plan as the Principal of Atwater Elementary School.  What will you do in the first 90 days?

15-20 Min. - Question and answer session from the attendees

Parents, guardians and community members are invited to participate in listening to the presentations and giving feedback on the candidates on Thursday, February 28th.  The presentation will be at Atwater in a room to be announced.  The times of the presentations are:

6:00 - 6:30 pm - Bridget Mowbray

6:40 - 7:10 pm - Deanna Wellens

7:20 - 7:50 pm - Ebony Grice
