The Shorewood Alumni Association is a volunteer organization that is committed to supporting the Shorewood alumni community and to helping Shorewood High School prepare the next generation of leaders, innovators, thinkers and good neighbors for living, working and learning in a global society.
In addition to a scholarship award for graduating seniors, we support a Student Financial Assistance Fund for current SHS students, (ensuring that all have access to the learning experiences that distinguish a Shorewood education).
Congratulations to all of you! We surpassed our goal of $10,000 for SHS's Centennial Celebration. The money we raised is being used to fund our senior scholarship, create mentorship opportunities, and to bring alumni together through events. Please join us the third weekend in June for reunion weekend; the weekend kicks off with a donor & alumni reception on Friday. The All-Class Reunion & Community Picnic follows on Saturday at Shorewood High School.
Now we need your help in a bigger way! One of your fellow alums has pledged to match all contributions to the SEED Educate Forward Endowment, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million. We are working very closely with The Shorewood SEED Foundation, (Sarah Allison Hammond, class of '84 serves on both boards.). With rising costs and limited state funding for public education, your efforts are more important than ever to ensure that all Shorewood students have the support and learning experiences they need to pursue the future they choose.
Shorewood graduates live all over the world, and the Alumni Association helps us stay connected through events, reunions, publications and informal networking that benefits all of us. So, keep in touch!
