Collaborative Commitments to Equity (CCE)
As part of our multi-year effort to build equitable systems that benefit all Shorewood students, faculty and staff across the District worked together–through a rigorous process–to define what we call our Collaborative Commitments to Equity (CCE). These seven commitments will serve as guiding principles for each school as it assesses its systems and creates teams to focus on meeting the needs of all learners.
Our Collaborative Commitments to Equity will also serve as District standards for operationalizing these processes, ensuring that our equity goals become realities for everyone in our learning communities.
The School Board adopted the CCE at their March 14 meeting. These commitments reflect both the progress we have made as a district, and the work ahead. We look forward to sharing more information and beginning a dialogue about how they will impact teaching and learning in the weeks ahead.
