Thank you for your continued patience as we work through the boiler issues at the VHE pool. We know the cool water temperatures and shifting locations have disrupted your routines, and we truly appreciate your flexibility during this time.
The delay in a complete repair is due to a key part that remains on backorder from the manufacturer. Our Buildings and Grounds team has been working closely with contractors, but the timeline has been extended beyond what any of us hoped. We are hoping the upcoming holidays bring us some resolution.
While the VHE pool is closed, we will move to an updated swim schedule beginning Monday, December 8 and running through Tuesday, December 23. This temporary schedule includes weekday Adult Lap Swim hours at the Jewish Community Center, located at 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay, WI 53217, as well as expanded weekend hours at the SHS pool.
We are grateful to the JCC for generously helping us maintain access to pool facilities during this time. Please note that their accommodation is available only to swimmers with a current membership, not to those using single swim passes, as the JCC is unable to deduct individual-use visits.

POLICIES
The Shorewood Recreation Department uses electronic tracking for swim members to help speed up the check-in process.
Fitness Center members, please bring your key tag with you to the pool. If your Fitness Center membership is active, our system will automatically recognize you as eligible to swim. Members participating through an insurance reimbursement program will also have pool access through their Fitness Center membership.
Non-Fitness Center swimmers, you may purchase a reusable key card for 20-visit or single-use swim passes.

Adults: Resident - $6 / Non Resident - $8
Seniors (60+): Resident - $5 / Non Resident - $7
Youth: Resident - $5 / Non Resident - $7
Youth 5 and under - swim free
20 Visits Swim Pass Fees
Key cards allow for 20 visits for community swim and each carries an expiration date of one year.

Please Note: Lifeguards do not accept payments at community swims. Passes must be purchased at the Shorewood Community Fitness Center before arriving at the VHE Pool. The Fitness Center is open whenever the pool is open. For questions, please call the Fitness Center directly at 414-961-3100. Shorewood Community Fitness Center members swim free when they show a valid membership card to the lifeguard.
