Recreation Sports Information
The Recreation Department offers a wide variety of sports from youth through adult. We offer youth programs with practice, instruction and games for t-ball, coach-pitch baseball and basketball. The Recreation Department also facilitates a basketball feeder program, Junior Greyhounds, for our High School. Additionally, we have adult basketball and softball leagues.
CONCUSSION INFORMATION
ALL youth participating in sports that have games or competitions must read the two documents below and submit the "Concussion Parent Online Agreement" before the first competition or game.
ADULT PICKLEBALL OPEN PLAY
Pickleball is a blend of tennis and ping pong played on a badminton size court. Pickleball provides plenty of exercise, hand-eye coordination, and you don't have to be "super athletic" to play. Men and women of all ages are welcome! Balls are provided. Bring your own paddle or use one that is provided. Please note that courts are shared during open play, so you won’t be able to reserve a court for private play with a friend. Pickleball here is all about rotation and community play.
Pickleball Pass: $36 (resident) / $54 (non-resident) 8 Punch Pickleball Pass can be used during any session with a 1 year expiration. These are available to purchase at the Shorewood Community Fitness Center.
