Welcome To Shorewood High School! Our graduates are confident, well-rounded, independent young adults who have learned to appreciate the diversity of our society and to be free-thinkers. To prepare our students for adulthood, we provide: a challenging, standards based curriculum in the core academic areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. The school offers nine advanced placement classes. Our Student Support Services Department that provides transition services including career exploration and post secondary planning for students and families, as well as, guidance on academic and personal matters. Additionally, Students have opportunities to participate in award winning performing and visual arts program that includes drama, orchestra, band, choir and studio art; additionally, they can expand on their personal interests by joining any of our more than 40 co-curricular activities.
Shorewood alumni Donald Baumgartner (Class of 1949), Johnathan Bernard (Class of 2000), Christopher Carson (Class of 1994), Wayne Newhauser (Class of 1982), and Joan Walsh (Class of 1976) will be recognized during a special day-long event at Shorewood High School on April 13, which will include an awards ceremony at an assembly for all students, a luncheon, a tour of campus, and a reception sponsored by the Shorewood High School Alumni Association.
At the start of every school year, staff engage in discussions about safety procedures and plans. In October, Atwater, Lake Bluff, Shorewood Intermediate School, and Shorewood High School participated in a School Safety Week. During this time, all schools practiced various safety drills, including lockdown and evacuation procedures. Learn more by clicking the above title.

This year, a record number of awards were given out to Shorewood students in the 2018 Scholastic State Art Competition. The work of the Gold and Silver Key winners is on display at the Milwaukee Art Museum from February 3 through March 18. Click the title above to see the complete list of winners.
