District Code of Conduct Workgroup: Volunteers Needed
Posted 11/28/2017 03:02PM
The Shorewood School District is looking for volunteers to be part of a workgroup that will participate in an in-depth review of the Shorewood School District's current Code of Conduct for students. The goal of this workgroup is to provide recommendations for improvements to our Code of Conduct. The meetings will take place in the Shorewood High School library, which is located on the second floor of the administrative building. We anticipate that the workgroup will need to meet five times, with monthly meetings beginning in December. To ensure consistency and fidelity with our collaborative process, we ask participants to commit to attending at least 3 out of the 5 meetings. Principals from all of the Shorewood schools will attend the Code of Conduct workgroup meetings to work collaboratively with those in attendance. The meetings will be co-facilitated by the Director of Pupil Services for the District, Mr. Jeff Cyganiak, and SHS Associate Principal, Mr. Joe Patek.
We anticipate that our deep review and discussions around the code of conduct should take approximately 2 hours per session to have a revised draft of the Code of Conduct to present to the School Board for feedback in early May of 2018. Please see the list of scheduled dates below:

If you have any questions at all regarding the Code of Conduct or this review process, please do not hesitate to contact either of us and we will assist you in any way possible. Thanks for your continued support of the Shorewood School District!
