Student support Services

The K-12 counseling program implemented in the Shorewood School District is intended to address the needs of the whole child at developmentally appropriate age levels and to build a foundation of good decision-making skills that serves the student into adulthood. The goal is to help all students learn about themselves and the world around them while making meaningful connections between the two.

School Counselors provide:

  • Service to 100% of the students
  • Conferencing involving students, parents/guardians and counselors
  • Curriculum content and systematically delivered to ALL, and
  • Curriculum based on the Wisconsin School Counseling Student Content Standards adapted from ASCA
