The Shorewood School District is extremely excited to invite district parents to an event that will be taking place on Thursday, October 27th from 7:00-8:30pm in the Lake Bluff Elementary School Cafetorium.
The Summer Olympics may be over, but the Shorewood Games are just getting started. A tradition that started 30 years ago, the Shorewood Games are organized by Shorewood High School students, with support from Shorewood School District staff, as a fundraiser to support the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund.
The School District is holding workshops for all parents and Shorewood community members to provide the results of the school facility assessments, answer questions and listen to feedback.
Volunteers are needed! Shorewood students and residents are encouraged to form a group with friends or family to spend a couple of hours making a difference in our community.
Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Michael Mazius, will focus on the role passion and perseverance (grit) play in our children's life outcomes and how we can and must nurture this early on and in the face of a culture which at times and unknowingly thwarts our efforts.

Atwater Elementary School Principal Kayla Russick is one of 20 elementary and middle school principals from across the nation who has been selected by Crayola and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) to receive a "Champion Creatively Alive Children" school grant.
