This SIS Cross Country informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 6 p.m. in the bleachers at the SHS John F Nickoll Stadium (rain location under the stadium). Please plan to attend this 30 to 40 minute info meeting for caregivers and student-athletes who are considering Cross Country for the upcoming year. Our first practice is September 5 and our first meet is in the second week of school. The season will be approximately 5 weeks long with one-hour after school practices daily, and weekly meets that offer everyone the opportunity to compete. To have your student-athlete added to the roster for the upcoming year and/or to receive communications about the team, please email the following to Coach JD Optekar ([email protected]):  Student Name; Student Grade; Caregiver(s) email address(es). Coaches Nora and JD are looking forward to a fun season of Cross Country including cookies on Friday; a scavenger hunt run; silly hat relays; and the infamous Culver’s run. Students who ultimately join the team will be charged an athletic fee.
