The VHE pool will close for repairs on March 1, 2024. Information about open swim alternatives in Whitefish Bay, Milwaukee, Brown Deer and other neighboring communities during this closure, and details about the VHE project timeline, can be viewed on the Jan 26, 2024 newsletter.
Due to scheduled commitments, the Shorewood High School pool will not be able to acommodate community swimming, and we apologize for any inconvenience this creates for patrons. We hope to reopen the VHE pool for community open swim sometime in April.

POLICIES
The Shorewood Recreation Department uses electronic tracking of swim members in an effort to speed up the check-in process. Fitness Center Members must bring their key tags to the pool to swim. IF their membership to the Fitness Center is valid, the computer will recognize them as eligible to swim automatically, therefore, we no longer need pool passes. If someone is in an insurance re-imbursement, their Fitness Center membership will allow them access to the pool, so they no longer need a daily pass or to stop at the Fitness Center prior to coming to the pool. For non-Fitness Center swimmers, we will be loading a key card with 20 visit or single use passes that can be reused.
