Shorewood Intermediate School Dean of Students, Ebony Grice, has been selected to serve as the new principal of Atwater Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year. Grice's contract was approved at the March 12th School Board meeting and her new duties begin on July 1, 2019.
She was selected after careful consideration following a rigorous interview process, which included two rounds of interviews, with a principal candidate presentation for the staff and larger Shorewood community.
She has strong experience in instructional leadership and executing a vision in a school district, as well as in leading a team and cultivating a positive learning environment that builds trust and sets high expectations for students, parents, and staff. She has a proven ability to plan assess, and evaluate data to make informed decisions leading to student achievement.
The District congratulates Grice and looks forward to continuing to work with her in her new position.
