On Wednesday, May 15, during the lunch hour, Youth Rising Up* held its third annual Alumni Luncheon.
Over 65 students and alumni, ranging from the Class of 1997 to the Class of 2018, gathered in the Shorewood High School North Gym to network with one another and to share personal experiences with each other. Hearing the alumni share a variety of success stories was very inspiring for the current students, and everyone enjoyed the chance to connect.
*Youth Rising Up serves as a student organization to foster student development through diversity, academics, and social services. The purpose of YRU is to promote activities of common interest, as well as cultural and educational benefits for all students. Their mission is to promote community and self enrichment by way of community service and volunteerism.
