On May 16th, the District and Village held their joint annual Shorewood Volunteer Appreciation Night at Hubbard Park Lodge, where volunteers were celebrated for their dedication and service to the District and the Village.
Food and drink was provided for guests, and as part of the evening, "Spirit of Shorewood" awards were given out to volunteers whose commitment and service to our schools and village epitomizes the volunteer spirit of our community. One was given out to a Village volunteer and one was given to a District volunteer.
Nancy Beck Bamberg was recognized as the District's "Volunteer of the Year" and Judy Spencer was recognized as the Village’s "Volunteer of the Year!" Congratulations to both Nancy and Judy, as well as all of the amazing volunteers who donate their time to make the Shorewood community a better place.
