District's Director of Equity Finalist Candidates Presentations

Finalists interviews for the District's Director of Equity position will be this Thursday, June 13th from 6-9 pm in the Shorewood High School Library. Candidates will be presenting their answers to the questions below. At the end of each presentation, members of the audience will be able to ask questions and hear responses from the candidate. The finalist candidates are: Sam Coleman, Nikotris Perkins and Latish Reed. Their resumes can be viewed here.

​​1) ​​Introduction of Self (2-3 minutes)
​  -​Who are you?
  ​-​What draws you to this profession?
  ​-​Why are you interested in the Shorewood School District Director of Equity  position?
 
​​2) ​​Describe a time when you have successfully advocated for policies and/or procedures that supported a historically marginalized student population. (3-4 minutes)
 
​​3) ​​More training is needed to assist our administrators and staff in areas related to race. Please describe your experiences in training and supporting all school staff in this area. (3-4 minutes)
 
​​4) ​​Outline your 90 Day entry plan as the Director of Equity. What will you do in the first 90 days of the position? (2-3 minutes)
 
​​5) Question and Answer Session for the attendees. (15-20 minutes)
