Shorewood School Board Adds Two Student Representatives

The Board values student input and voice, and in an effort to explicitly include student voices in governance matters, the Board voted at the end of the 2018-19 school year to approve the addition of student representatives to the Board.

Following an all-call for applications in June, the Board interviewed interested rising sophomores, juniors and seniors and two students were selected, Sadie Cumberbatch and Jack Stuhlmacher (both rising juniors).

Sadie and Jack will begin their duties in September 2019 with the start of the upcoming school year. They will be asked to participate in one Board meeting per month and will be tasked with listening to and deliberating on agenda items, as well as communicating the work of the Board to the rest of the student body.
