District Holds BLM Rally Press Conference

Below is the live stream of the District’s press conference on Monday, June 8, at 8 a.m. which was held to provide a few statements regarding the Black Lives Matter rally that took place on Saturday, June 6, and the incident that happened involving a Shorewood High School junior (Eric Lucas) who was confronted and spit on by a Shorewood resident.

Shorewood Schools Superintendent Bryan Davis began the press conference with a few words, then Shorewood High School junior Eric Lucas shared his statement. Following Eric, Shorewood School Board President Paru Shah shared some thoughts on the incident and the District’s efforts to address equity and racial justice. Representative David Bowen was also present and gave a statement.
