SHS Hybrid Model Info Letter & Third Quarter Declaration Form

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

As many of you are aware, the Shorewood School Board determined at its meeting on Tuesday, December 22nd to adopt a new gating criteria for grades 9-12 to return to in-person learning. This gating criteria calls for two consecutive weeks at a case burden level in the Shorewood community of 299 or less for Shorewood High School to transition to an in-person hybrid instructional model. Based on the current trend of cases in the area we anticipate this transition to happen in the near future.

After reviewing the information below, please complete THIS DECLARATION FORM by Sunday, January 10th at 11:59 PM. This declaration form will provide you the opportunity to select your student’s form of instruction during the 3rd quarter once the gating criteria is met. Students/families who do not respond will be automatically enrolled into the in-person hybrid instructional model. A second declaration form will be sent to families to select a learning model for 4th quarter.

To help prepare the hybrid model at Shorewood High School, we wanted to provide you several documents, resources, and information that, hopefully, answers many of the questions that you may have. View the extended seven-page letter with the additional resources and information here.

Sincerely,

Timothy J. Kenney, Shorewood High School Principal

Joe Patek, Shorewood High School Associate Principal
