Dear SHS Families,
As we move through the month of August, we are excitedly preparing for the start of the 2021-22 school year and we wanted to take a moment to share some important information with you as September 1st is rapidly approaching. This is the first of several communications that you will receive over the next couple of weeks. The second communication will be coming to you on Friday, August 13th in the form of an informational video about. This video will have a lot more information about “Back to School” happenings and logistics.
School Registration/Fees:
All registration for school will be completed online through Infinite Campus. When you login to the parent portal, select “more” on the left side and you will see the online registration link as one of your selection possibilities. Please contact the Shorewood High School main office if you have questions about the process at (414)963-6921.
Lockers: (Students must use school-issued locks, available for purchase for $5 in the main office on the dates listed below).
Students will have the option of using a school locker this year. If your student is interested in having a regular school locker (athletic lockers will be handled by each sport), locker selection will be on the following days:
- 8/24: 1:00-4:00 pm
- 8/26: 8:00am-Noon
Students should bring $5 for a lock and report to the SHS main office, entering on the south side of the Administration Building new addition. Turn to the right as they come into the building. We will help the students select a locker at that time. Students should bring their schedules with them to help select a locker location that makes the most sense for their schedule.
Student Schedules:
It is critical to complete Online Registration through Infinite Campus as soon as possible. Students will not have access to their schedules until this is complete. Schedules will be made available on August 24th. As noted above, if you have any questions about completing the registration process, please contact the SHS main office at (414)963-6921.
SHS welcomes the 9th grade Class of 2025 for the morning of September 1st as they complete a “walk-through” of their schedule to ease the transition to high school. Please click on the above link to view the 1st Day of School schedule. Please note: 9th-grade students will begin at 8:00 am on September 1st, followed by ALL grades starting at 9:25 am for their regular schedule.
Devices:
The Shorewood School District is encouraging all students who are able to please bring their own device to and from school each day. If your student is unable to do so, the District will provide a device for use throughout the school year, both at school and home. Device distribution will occur during the first week of school. Parents, if your student(s) request a device please complete this form.
Parking:
Due to construction, parking will be limited to Staff only in the SHS parking lot. This will be strictly enforced, so if a student needs to drive to school, please use street parking surrounding the school, taking care to watch for parking restriction signage. Should a student have an extenuating circumstance (handicap accessibility need), parking in the handicap marked locations in the parking lot is welcome. Please make sure the proper handicap tags are noted on the mirror or license plate.
