Shorewood Rec Department's Summer Strings Program

Students entering Grades 4-12 had the chance to participate in the Summer Strings Program through the Shorewood Recreation and Community Services Department during the first two weeks of August. There were classes available for a variety of different skill levels, so some students took beginner courses while others continued to refine their individual and group performance skills.

A special congratulations goes to the new Beginning Violin and Cello students for performing their first concert. The five classes that were offered are:  Beginning Violin and Viola, Beginning Cello and Bass, Chamber Music for SIS and SHS Students,  and an Orchestra Class, and Orchestra Technique Class for students entering grades 5-9.

Thank you to Julie Nolan, Karen Frink, and Melissa Honigman for teaching and coaching students through this program.
