In the District's continued pursuit of creating more equitable systems for our students, families and staff, we invite families and community members to participate in our upcoming Integrated Comprehensive Systems for Equity (ICS) Community Equity Ally Academy.The purpose of the Academy is to:
1. Learn about the Shorewood School District's equity efforts via the ICS Equity Framework and Process. In doing so, you will develop your "Collective Equity Capacity"™.
2. Learn how to support the Shorewood School District's efforts.
3. Learn how to apply the ICS Equity Framework and Process in your own settings.
Four Academy sessions will be held virtually May-August, and we ask that you plan to attend all four sessions. More information, including the meeting links, will be provided in advance of each session:
Session #1: May 25, 2022, 6-8:30pm
Session #2: June 29, 2022, 6-8:30pm
Session #3: July 20, 2022, 6-8:30pm
Session #4: August 1, 2022, 6-8:30pm
To register for the Academy, please complete the Academy Registration Form here. The deadline to register is Monday, May 15, at 11:59pm. Please note that the Academy is limited to 100 participants, so we recommend registering as soon as possible.
