2022 SHS Awards and Scholarships Night

On Tuesday, May 17, Shorewood High School held its annual Awards and Scholarships Night. The evening was an opportunity to recognize the outstanding work of many SHS students in grades 9-12. Ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students were acknowledged through awards specific to the core academic areas of math, English, social studies and science. Twelfth grade students received financial assistance--in the form of scholarships--to help offset the cost of post-secondary education opportunities.

To be eligible for the scholarships and awards, students were encouraged to apply or were nominated by teachers or peers.  The decisions were made based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and leadership among other factors.

“This year, there were 49 different awards and scholarships given out to our students,” says SHS Principal Tim Kenney. “We are so proud of them and it was a true night of celebration!”

Listed below are all of the awards/scholarships offered, along with this year’s winners.
