SHS Homecoming Week 2022

Dear SHS Families,

SHS Student Council has been hard at work organizing fun events for next week’s Homecoming festivities.  The students are excited to share the following homecoming activities that will occur next week, starting Monday, September 19th, and conclude on Friday, September 23rd.  We are having an all school assembly during Advisory on Thursday, September 15th to share the details of next week while building school spirit and community! 

School Spirit Days: 

  • Monday, September 19th: Pajama Day 
  • Tuesday, September 20th: Country vs. Country Club
  • Wednesday, September 21st:  On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink
  • Thursday, September 22nd: Jersey Day
  • Friday, September 23rd: Spirit Day/Color Block
    • Seniors: Black
    • Juniors: White
    • Sophomores: Gray 
    • Freshman: Red

Please keep in mind that, even during student dress up/down days, appropriate clothing or dress (consistent with the SHS Student Handbook) is expected.  The Pep rally is on Friday afternoon at 2:45pm in the Arena!

Homecoming Events: 

  • Powder Puff Game: Thursday, September 22nd 
      • Freshman vs. Sophomore Game 7:30-8:00 pm (John Nickoll Stadium) 
      • Junior vs. Senior Game 8:00-8:30 pm (John Nickoll Stadium) 
  • All School Pep Rally! Friday September 23rd
  • Homecoming Parade: Student Council has elected not to do a parade this year.
  • Homecoming Game: Friday, September 23rd 7:00 pm vs. Grafton
  • Homecoming Dance: “Under The Stars”  Saturday, Sept 24th 8:00-11:00 pm (SHS North Gym)
    • Tickets $15 - Will be sold all week during lunch and after school
    • Doors open at 8:00 PM and the fun lasts until 11:00 PM.   
    • Students will be screened by school staff for alcohol use upon entry. 
    • Students are allowed to bring bags and jackets which will be checked upon entry.   Access to these items will be limited during the dance. 
    • Expectations for student dress and appearance are consistent with those during the regular school day.  Dress to Impress however, please be mindful of student attire.
    • There is no “re-entry” during or after the dance; once a student leaves they will not be allowed back in. 


Please remember the SHS Code of Conduct applies for all Homecoming events and activities (The Homecoming Dance, Football and Powderpuff games, etc.)
