Thank you, Principal Rogers of SIS!

Tiara is a fun, no-nonsense type of principal. She's outgoing, she interacts with her students, and the staff enjoy working with her. This school year marks Tiara's 18th year in education and in those 18 years, Tiara has worn a few hats. She served as a middle school ELA teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Equity Development. Before landing at Shorewood, Tiara worked in Milwaukee, West Allis, and Waukesha. This is her first year in Shorewood and in her free time, she also teaches educational leadership graduate courses!

What do you like best about being a school principal?
What I like most about being a principal is serving others, especially my students. My students are my why. My calling and purpose is to educate others and lead by example.

Who inspires you and why?
My husband, Nasif Rogers, inspires me. He is also an educator and champion for kids. He is a leader for equity and is passionate about removing barriers so that all learners can achieve success. He is my number one supporter and he is actually the one that encouraged me to apply for my current position in Shorewood. The way he lives his mission is very inspirational and something I admire most about him.

If you could give your students one piece of life advice, what would it be?
Don't let your circumstances define you; imagine the life you want and go after it!

The Shorewood School District thanks Principal Rogers for her dedication to her students and for the leadership to her staff!
