SHS Selected to Participate in CIEE Global Navigator Scholarship Awards

SHS has been selected to participate for the fourth year in a row in the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) Global Navigator Scholarship Awards for summer study abroad 2019. These earmark $25,000+ for SHS students (freshmen, sophomores, and juniors) to study abroad during the summer, and students who elect to apply will be considered for the awards based on both merit and need. This past summer, 21 students traveled on a CIEE, having received over $51,000 in total scholarship money!

Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, the United Kingdom.

Visit the CIEE website for all program details. Click on “My CIEE” in the top right corner of the page and select “Create a High School Summer Abroad Account.” The priority deadline is November 30, 2018, and feel free to contact SHS teacher Evan Schmidt [email protected] with questions about programs/applications. Andee Skjonsberg from CIEE will be at SHS on Thursday, November 1 speaking to all World Languages classes and will be able to answer questions as well.
