District Hosts Second Community-Wide Strategic Plan Framework Meeting

On Wednesday November 20th, the District hosted the second of six sessions to begin building an equitable District Strategic Plan Framework for 2020-2025. The District is especially grateful to Elizabeth Price from the Village of Shorewood Senior Resource Center for hosting this meeting and to Dr. Monique Liston from Ubuntu Research and Evaluation for facilitating a highly engaging and interactive session.

The District focused this session on defining what it means to ground our work in equity and there were 80 participants in attendance.

“It's been powerful to see families, students, and community members come back session after session and lean in to the hard work that is making us stronger and more equitable as a district and community,” says Director for Equity Sam Coleman.

The next session will be on Wednesday, December 11th, from 6-8pm at Atwater Elementary School and we invite community members, students, staff, and families to continue to join us in this work.
