District Hosts Third Community-Wide Strategic Plan Framework Meeting

On Wednesday December 13th, the District hosted the third of six sessions to begin building an equitable District Strategic Plan Framework for 2020-2025. The District is especially grateful to our community members who attended at least two of the first three sessions to ground our work in equity theory and engage in community building.

The District focused this session on thinking "outside of the box" about the ways equitable systems would produce equitable results and the "key ingredients" to achieving equitable outcomes by design. There were approximately 80 participants in attendance.

“In addition to creatively thinking about transforming our systems with equity and social justice in mind, all participants have unique opportunities to build community and learn from the perspectives of others in attendance.” says Director for Equity Sam Coleman.

The next session will be on Wednesday, January 8th, from 6-8pm in the lower level of the Village Center. We invite community members, students, staff, and families who have attended at least two of the first three sessions to continue to join us in this work.
