Welcome to the Shorewood Technology Department! The primary goal of technology is to enhance the educational experience for all students and we are here to help make that happen. By working together with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the District Authentic Learning Coordinator, we help design and implement the tools students need to bring their ideas to life.
With the district focusing on expeditionary learning, passages and authentic learning, the technology department provides ideas, solutions, training and instruction to assist students. We work to make ideas come to life. Whether it is in the classroom or behind the scenes, our goal is to implement and support educational technology across the District and to provide the optimal digital learning environment for our students.
Parenting in a digital world can be frustrating. You are not alone if you feel this way. As a digital parent, work with your student to create a technology contract. Together come up with rules and consequences. Really, being a digital parent all comes down to communicating, building trust and sticking to the contract you both create.
