Parent Organizations

Shorewood High School is fortunate to have the support of many parent organizations. Parental involvement is important to our programs. Parents and teachers stay in touch to encourage student performance. Strong parent organizations support the work of all District schools. Parents and community members support the School District by participating in our active Parent/Teacher organizations and many booster clubs, volunteering as tutors or chaperones, sharing ideas at school building team meetings, attending student performances and so much more.

PARENT ASSOCIATION

The Shorewood High School Parent Association works with the administration and students to support the high school community all throughout the year. Key services include publication of the student directory, management of a weekly e-newsletter for all interested subscribers, assisting with beginning of year and conference activities by providing food to teachers and staff, management of the Parent Forum programs held each semester in an effort to create greater awareness of issues related to high school students and families, and support in other various school activities. Visit our website for more information.

The support generated by the club goes towards uniforms, athletic equipment, PA systems, end of season banquets, field renovations, and our athletic trainer. It is a behind-the-scenes organization that truly makes a difference in the community. The Club works closely with Taz Landry, the Athletic Director, to ensure our support is both targeted and thoughtful. We welcome new members throughout the school year. Join now! The choral program is supported by a variety of booster events, including an annual benefit concert held in June. FRIENDS OF DRAMA

This nonprofit charitable entity supports the drama department of the Shorewood Public Schools. This organization is currently managed by volunteer alumni in Shorewood, and is a separate charitable organization from the SHS Alumni Association. It is now the entity for supporting Shorewood Drama, allowing the Alumni Association to continue to provide general support for the Shorewood Schools. Donations made to the organization are used to assist in the creation of the current shows in Shorewood, Wisconsin. For more information, please refer to their website.

ORCHESTRA BOOSTER CLUB

Support and enhancement of the orchestra program is the main goal of the Orchestra Booster Club. The Shorewood Orchestra Boosters have provided funding for guest artists and clinicians, classroom equipment, orchestra awards and certificates, and summer camp scholarships. The Boosters are also crucial to facilitating student fundraising for SIS and SHS orchestra trips.
